OMG I could not make this up if I tried:
“Internet is out”
“Are there any lights on on the modem?”
“Well, no, the outlet isn’t working and we have an electrician coming to look at that, but shouldn’t the internet still be working?”
“Um. No. The internet comes from the modem and that sends it to the wifi, but you don’t have internet if the modem is not working”
“Huh. I did not know that”
(angrily throws the headset against the wall)
Is that how it works?
Reminds me of the guy from that old video – I think it’s linked in the video section of this site. Someone needs to loan him a few $$ so he can go buy a clue.
